Crib Festival

Since late November, are exposed in the city 50 cribs made by Brazilian and foreign artists. Streets, squares, subway stations, public gardens and institutions received the works representing the birth of Jesus from several points of view. Made from the finest materials or natural, the cribs will be gracing the city until the Epiphany, on January 6.

Some of them have been "caught" by us and photographed. There are still many! But we will register all we can and post here.

  1. One of the things that I still find weird here is the lack of Christmas decoration. Maybe it's because on Sunday we have Presidential and Parliamentary elections that take up most of the street space.

Why?

(Marcel Proust)

What?

We walk by the streets of our city and very often we don’t realize its images, which are there and which suddenly are not any more.

To photograph and glance is to guard images, impressions. It is also to re-discover the space where we live, our imaginary and scenario of our lives.

Our glance is not enough. It is necessary that others look what we see.
