Autumn in Copacabana

Autumn of sun and beach, for delight of tourists and “cariocas”.

At the bottom, the Fort of Copacabana - inaugurated as we know today in 1914, in the same place of the ancient fortress of the 18 century.

  1. Autumn? Isn't the water a little too cold to go swimming in? Looks like a bright, sunny day at least — sunbathing would do very nicely! :)

  2. This looks heavenly! We have a couple of inches of snow here today, which is melting, but still makes it look cold outside! I envy your sun and sand!

  4. Hilda&Kelly: this heavenly scenario is our Autumn, ever! Our Winter is a little more cold, since 20 C or a little less!!

And, yes, Seanclaes! The view from this Wheel is astonishing! This is Rio de Janeiro, my friends!

Why?

(Marcel Proust)

What time is it in Rio?

What about the weather?

Who, where or when?

What?

We walk by the streets of our city and very often we don’t realize its images, which are there and which suddenly are not any more.

To photograph and glance is to guard images, impressions. It is also to re-discover the space where we live, our imaginary and scenario of our lives.

Our glance is not enough. It is necessary that others look what we see.
